"I gave him an eye so that he can see
Beyond the horizon where the sun meets the sea
Beyond the blue skies that hide plenty a twinkling light
Stars as bright as my son's graceful smile
I gave him an eye so that he can see
That life is beyond what we deem it to be
Just existing is merely a deceit
A deceit we indulge ourselves in
Tis' too easy to be ignorant
Discounting what it means to be alive, breathing
Every inch of our skin teeming with life
Waiting to be set free
We gave him our eyes so that he can see
That sacrifices are necessary
For when one gives, another lives
And together life is cherished
One day he'll see
that love will never forsake him when he is in need
For our eyes will forever be a part of him
Guiding, and finding a way"
I came across that piece of news as I was scrolling down my Twitter timeline. I felt something in me stir a little and I felt inspired I guess (If that is how you want to put it).Anyway, this is my take on this couple's act of pure, unconditional love. A love that knows no boundaries because that is all they've got to give without holding back. Reading this piece of news also made me wonder how far I would go for my loved ones. Am I selfless enough? I guess that will be answered when the time comes.
Hoping to one day becoming as selfless as Harry Potter,
